The Barefoot Rugby League Show is a weekly 2 hour national television program, broadcast LIVE to air about all things Rugby League, with an emphasis on Indigenous players, teams and championships. Hosted by Brad Cooke and former NRL player Tony Currie, each week invite guest panelists being ex or current indigenous NRL players, coaches or officials, to be on the panel of experts discussing the week in rugby league. The show also highlights “grassroots” football, particularly in communities where Junior Rugby League and independent competitions and remote championships are held.

brad_profileBrad Cooke - Host

Brad is a proud Indigenous man from La Perouse in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (from the Simms and Timbery families). Brad has several years experience in the Radio and Broadcast industries, and has been the General Manager of the Gadigal Information Services since 2003. In 2007, he received the Award for Contribution to Indigenous Broadcasting for “The Sweet Science National Boxing Show” as judged by the Australian Indigenous Communications Association.

tony_profileTony Currie aka TC - Co-Host

Tony Currie is a champion of the League and the game. During his professional career Tony has played and coached in England, represented Queensland & Australia and won two Grand Finals (Canterbury, Broncos).He has coached the QLD under 16, Brisbane under 17 and Australian under 18 Indigenous Teams in 2007. More recently Tony has become involved in TV presenting and is a regular panel member on the Barefoot Rugby League Show on NITV.

david_profileDavid Peachey - Roving Reporter/Panelist

Born 21 February 1974 in Dubbo, New South Wales, David is a former professional rugby league player in the National Rugby League. His position of choice was at fullback. During his career, Peachey played for the Cronulla Sharks and the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL and the Widnes Vikings in the English League One. Peachey also played representative rugby league for Country Origin, New South Wales and Australia. Peachey began playing league rugby for his local junior club in Dubbo, the Dubbo Macquarie Raiders. read more>>>
